Ted Hsu is the face of Horizon Services Company. Ted established Horizon in 1991. In 1994, Horizon Services Corporation was incorporated into the current entity it is today.
Ted Hsu is a Certified Building Services Executive (CBSE) with the BSC.
Personally, Ted is an outdoors activity enthusiast of many dimensions. He is committed to the importance of local business and is involved in local initiatives like CT Pledge.
Ted believes that he has the best job in the world, which he defines as working in your best capacity to make the greatest impact. He has been able to do this for 30 years by leading Horizon.
He leads with the idea; "What did you do today to improve the world?"
Since 2000, Ted has engaged in continual education towards advancing service levels in the building services industry at Dartmouth-Tuck school, Harvard Business School, and Carnegie Mellon University.
Ted’s continual research efforts have been towards career development plans, labor force evolution, work motivation, and hyper-local & network effects; these results have been at the core of service programs operating at millions of square feet of commercial space.
In the early days of the 90s and 2000s were seminal periods for Horizon in servicing corporate headquarters of the nation’s well-known names, still at the time based in New England. Some of the earliest best practices were established and continued to this day.
Along with Horizon’s work with nonprofits and educational institutions, our contribution in time and resources to the New England market has been numerous.
