Bleach and Ammonia - Do Not Mix


1. Bleach and Ammonia


Mixing bleach and ammonia can cause the release of toxic Chloramine gas.


Exposure to chloramine gas can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, and lungs.



2. Bleach and Vinegar


Mixing these together can create Chlorine Gas, which is invisible and dangerous.


Exposure can cause a headache, irritation of the skin and eyes, and difficulty breathing.



3. Bleach and Isopropyl Alcohol


Mixing these chemicals together will create Chloroform.


Exposure can cause irritation of the eyes, skin rashes, unconsciousness, irritation, and severe organ damage.



4. Bleach and Toilet Cleaners


Mixing these together will create Chloramine.


Exposure can cause irritation, vomiting, fluid in the lungs, and more.



5. Bleach and Other Cleaning Products


DO NOT MIX WITH

  • Dettol

  • Zoflora

  • Mildew treatments

  • Window cleaners

  • Drain cleaners

  • Rust cleaners


6. Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide


Mixing will create Peracetic acid, which is a corrosive acid.


Exposure can cause harm to skin, eyes, nose throat, and lungs.



7. Using Two Drain Un Blockers at Once


Can create a harmful gas that can cause skin, eye, and lung irritation.



8. Combining Different Brands of Cleaning Products


Never mix different cleaning products together without researching the chemicals beforehand and making sure it is safe to mix.
