We'd Like to Introduce Ralphy the Raccoon!!
Ralphy is our new company mascot. Ralphy will represent the company as a cartoon character at our events, award ceremonies, etc. Stay tuned to learn more about Ralphy and who he is in our upcoming events.
On Thursday, June 2nd, the Horizon Services Family was very excited to hold a “Safety Happy Hour Event.” Ralphy was able to represent us as well!! This event took place at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in East Hartford, CT.
During this event, we were able to get all of our staff together in one place to talk about safety, as well as others of the general public who joined in on the fun times. A presentation was held to highlight the 4 typical work-related safety injuries, especially within janitorial service companies. The safety notes highlighted the importance of safety in regard to
water, weather, walking, vehicles, and equipment. These include being struck by a moving vehicle or object/motor vehicle crashes, slips, trips, and falls from tall heights, electrocutions, and getting caught in or between machines, devices, or tools.
Accidents such as these could potentially lead to being the 4 typical most fatal industry accidents rather than more minor occurrences if they continuously occur or are overlooked. Educating and ensuring safety on even the slightest minor occurrences can create a better overall safety judgment and awareness that can protect everyone around. The importance of teaching and speaking on these issues will prevent a domino effect of accident after an accident occurring, and possibly lead to fatalities in the future.
Horizon Services Company takes pride in our staff, clients, and the general public and we work to ensure that everyone is safe and happy, and preventing/avoiding any possible injuries. We strive to provide high-quality janitorial and cleaning services while at the same time ensuring safe practices for both the staff and customers. This event was a great opportunity to get everyone together and to educate the importance of safety.
